Compare two school districts on the money.
Every rating site scores schools on test results. We do the other half: how a district is funded, what it spends the money on, and what is likely to change after you move in. Built on federal filings, cost-of-living adjusted, free to read.
What you get, free
- The dollar, three ways. As reported, adjusted to a common price level, and again with transport stripped out — because a district that buses across 900 square miles is not overspending on classrooms.
- Where it goes. The full spending breakdown by function, as a chart you can actually read against another district's.
- What is likely to change. Enrolment trend, debt load, federal exposure — the questions that matter if you are about to sign for thirty years.
- What we refuse to show. We do not compare test scores across state lines, because the states use different tests and different passing marks. We say so on the page instead of quietly doing it anyway.
